Gated Communities

Gated communities are becoming a trend around the country.  In the Cities these communities offer an extra measure of security, and exclusivity.  Since security is not a big concern around Wickenburg gated communities are not all that common.  In years past the only reason we had gated communities was to keep the cows out.    These days we are seeing some gated communities as the new developments try to cater to the demand, but this is only a small percentage.

Gated homes are actually much more common.  Since most properties in Wickenburg are on larger lots are acreage it is common for a property to be fenced with a gate.  These gates are usually controlled with a conventional garage door opener.  These fenced and gated properties may offer the same characteristics you are looking for in a gated community, and they are much easier to come by around Wickenburg.

One of the common reasons that buyers ask for a gated community around Wickenburg is that they plan to leave the home empty and travel during the summer months.  After inspecting our town most buyers find that Wickenburg is a secure place to own a home even if it will be vacant much of the year.  Our crime rate is low, and in addition both our police and year round residents are vigilant, and very aware that many of our residents leave in the summer.

If after inspecting the town you make the decision that a gated community is right for you then we can certainly accommodate you.  Just be aware that the number of choices you have in the market will be narrowed down significantly.
